San Antonio

From Noah's Perspective...
"My mommy went for a really long run yesterday... and I was a little sad because she didn't take me with her in the jogging stroller. I really like it when she pushes me in the stroller. But, daddy took me all around San Antonio to find mommy along her route. That was fun! Every time she saw me, she would stop and give me a big hug and kiss (even daddy, too!). But my favorite part was when we jogged through the finish line together."
Highlights: 1) Visiting with and getting Frank Shorter's autograph... 2) Playing with a big Mickey Mouse stuffed animal (The Walt Disney World Marathon promotion) ... 3) Getting to see all sorts of landmarks around San Antonio... 4) Hanging out with our friends, Jim and Brooke!!
Here are some photos from the weekend....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ... part 2

Here are photos from Sunday afternoon... Noah was certainly a little timid at first, but then he decided to dig into his cake.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!... part 1

One year ago a little baby boy captured our hearts. We have learned to love with areas of our hearts that I'm not quite sure that we knew existed... and as the early weeks turned into months... and months now turn into one year, we love Noah more and more!
Noah woke up on Thursday morning to be welcomed by a room full of balloons... and he LOVED it! He was standing in his crib, pointing and shouting "ba, ba, ba, ba, ba" (interpretation: ball, ball, ball, ball, ball) - no, we didn't try to make it a teachable moment and tell him that all the "balls" were really balloons :)
Then, on Sunday afternoon, our family came over for a little backyard fun and cupcakes :) I know that there are a lot of photos from the weekend ... so enjoy!... more to be posted in another post.

His first present he opened on Thursday morning... ELMO!

"Hey, I like this paper-tearing thing!"

He LOVES his basketball goal... Noah is actually very accurate in tossing the ball through the hoop. However, given the stature of his parents, I don't think he'll be making a career at basketball! :)

Eating an apple "big boy style"...

Hangin' out with Grandpa Jim.

our little doctor

Here are a few photos of our adorable little doctor in his scrubs :)

"Hey Mom... I have to find out who paged me!"

This is what doctors look like when they've been on-call all night.

"Who wants me to listen to their heart?" Noah enjoyed walking over to our neighbors' homes ... playing with the candy in the candy bowl and waving to all of the trick-or-treaters that came by our house. We successfully avoided the "sugar high" this year... however, I'm not quite sure we'll be so lucky next year!
